American Advocates for Health
...celebrating the achievements of America's volunteer and professional health advocates.

The American Advocates for Health recognizes professionals and volunteers whose efforts have advanced the various causes of treating and curing chronic disease and raised public awareness of the issues relating to chronic disease.

AAH believes that determined government officials, devoted leaders in health care, dedicated volunteers, members of the media, legislators and others deserve to be recognized for their unique contributions in prevention, treatment, research, public awareness, patient care, and the development of public policies associated with chronic disease.

Professional and volunteer health care advocates, legislators and others make profound differences in the way health care policies are developed and administered, in the success of treatment and prevention programs, in drawing attention to the issues relating to chronic disease and as advocates for patients and their families.

AAH honors the work of state and local elected and appointed government officials, health care professionals, volunteer advocates and others who are often the unsung heroes in the advancement of health policies and programs.
